Mary Ellen Rudin's problems on monotone normality
by
Mary Ellen Rudin(Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A.)
Mary Ellen Rudin has recently been looking at some problems on
monotone normality. Ones that interest her are:
Is every compact
monotonically normal space
(1) the continuous image of a linearly ordered one?
(2) cyclically monotonically normal?
(3) not K-naught?
Recent papers on the subject include
- Monotone Normality
(With Z Balogh in 1992, Topol. Appl.)
- A cyclic monotonically normal space that is not K-naught (1993, Proc. AMS)
- Monotone normality and compactness
(Topol. Appl., Ehime Conference Proceedings to come out in 96)
- From countable
compactness to absolute countable compactness
(With Stares and Vaughan, submitted to Proc. AMS)
- Products with linear and countable type factors
(with Purisch, submitted
to Proc. AMS)
- Compact,
separable, linearly ordered spaces
(to be submitted to the memorial
volume of Topol. Appl. for Professor Morita).
