Volume 2, #2, May 12, 1997
edited by Melvin Henriksen
commentary@mail.mathatlas.yorku.ca
I continue to invite commentary on any article in any issue of TopCom or on any topic of general interest to topologists, including news about topologists or topological activity.
EDITORIAL REMARKS
This issue of Topological Commentary introduces several new features--a book review, a poem, a children's song, and a mystery photo. We hope to continue these features while continuing old ones such as interviews of emminent topologists. Most of the contributions to this issue came as suggestions from readers.

A Topological Song for Children
By Kathleen Kustin

COLUMN
keep your hands from beans
By Scott Williams
Note: Another Column by Scott Wiiliams. He expresses his displeasure at the
tendency to discourage graduate students from devoting themselves to
"theoretical mathematics" in his usual unusual way.
