Another Editorial on Electronic Publishing by Melvin Henriksen
The interview of Arthur Stone that follows was conducted by Professor W. Wistar Comfort of Wesleyan University. Because of his modesty, Arthur Stone seems to be doing his best to downplay his many deep and significant contributions to topology, not the least of which was his proof of the equivalence of paracompactness and full normality, thereby answering in the affirmative Dieudonné's question about whether metrizable spaces are paracompact. W. Wistar Comfort has done his best to overcome Arthur Stone's reticence, and Topological Commentary is grateful to both of them.
The letters that follows were written in response to columns by Scott Williams. The first concerns the column On Affirmative Action in Issue 2 of Volume 1. The second one responds to the Column Moore Karma Ran over my Dogma. Each was acknowledged, and Scott's response to the second is included.
