We introoduce quotient maps via equivalence relations.
We discuss several different subjects involving quotient maps:
- the construction of the Moebius strip;
-
an example for the non-productivity oof quotient maps;

examples of Hausdorf spaces with non-Hausdorff quotients;

the quotient norm on a vector space's quotient;

a condition for the invariance of retracts;

preservation of connectedness in quotients;

a categorical characterization of quotient maps.
