Some results on Siegel Hecke eigensystems (mod p)

We will discuss a result stating that for the study of Siegel Hecke eigensystems (mod p), it is enough to consider the restriction of Siegel modular forms to the superspecial locus. The emphasis of the talk will be on applications of this result, such as bounding explicitly the number of Siegel Hecke eigensystems (mod p), and showing that all such eigensystems are cuspidal.
