Dually residuated lattice-ordered monoids (DRl-monoids) are a broad generalization of lattice-ordered groups which includes also GMV-algebras (= pseudo MV-algebras), a non-commutative extension of MV-algebras: GMV-algebras are bounded DRl-monoids satisfying certain identities. We make use DRl-monoids in order to generalize GMV-algebras by dropping the top element and we show that such "generalized GMV-algebras" can be represented as lattice ideals in the positive cones of lattice-ordered groups.
