Polynomial functions on classical groups and Frobenius groups
by

The unary polynomial functions on a finite group are those that can be obtained as finite products of the identity function and the constant functions.
We will characterize and count the polynomial functions on the classical linear groups and on Frobenius groups. For these classes we will see that various popular functions like automorphisms or endomorphisms are polynomial.
