In 1979 S.Pride in the paper "The concept of largeness in group theory" defined a preoder on the set of groups and initiated the study of partially ordered set of classes of equivalent groups.
From the point of view of infinite group theory minimal infinite groups are of special interest. In a joint work with J.S.Wilson we show that certain branch p-groups are minimal. In particular this propery has the 2-group of intermediate growth constructed by the speaker in 1980.
