In this piece of work, we have proposed and investigated a non-linear model on the emerging global terrorism. Post 9/11, it has been observed that religio-ethnic centers, similar to optical pumps in the domain of laser physics, are mushrooming almost over the entire world. Various terrorists groups and organizations interact very frequently, physically as well as through Internet Services, among themselves and also with the general populace to propagate their creed. To counter this dreaded menace, international security forces are closing their ranks and file. However, their efforts are not adequate. The incorporation of these three main factors ensures the system’s access to two stable states simultaneously and consequently there occur hysteresis effect and first-order phase transition in the system. If the process is not checked and contained in the initial phase, the entire humanity would be force to pay very heavy price for the delay in conformity with the consequences of the hysteresis effects, well known to the scientists and sociologists.
