Quadratic Equations With Five Prime Unknowns

In this talk, we will consider the following quadratic diophantine equation

b1p12+ ... +b5p52 = n, pj is prime |
|
and discuss our recent result of the small prime solutions of the
equation, namely, if b1, ... , b5 are not of the same sign,
then the equation has prime solution pj satisfying

This improves the previous result with the exponent 12 in place
of 8 above.
