The combinatorics of category O
by
Peter Fiebig
University of Antwerp, Belgium

To any triangulated Lie algebra one can associate the category of "representations of highest weight", called the category O. We show that in the case of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras the structure of all blocks of category O outside the critical hyperplanes depends only on the corresponding integral Weyl group and its action on the parameters of simple modules. This reduces all categorical questions (for example, the Kazhdan-Lusztig conjectures) to the integral case, where they are often solved.
