The theorem of Krein and Rutman has been a basis for many important results on eigenvalue problems for problems where positivity plays a significant role. One may prove the theorem using continuation methods which proof also covers analogous nonlinear problems. The lecture will be concerned with several different situations where the existence of eigenvalues for quasilinear PDE problems may be derived in this fashion.
