Where the wild things are

Thin Lie algebras are a class of Lie algebras which have a fair degree of complexity, but which can be described with a fair amount of success in general. Here we will discuss the situation in characteristic 3 where there are extra problems, from some which merely require a little extra hard work to some which are related to strange families of simple algebras.
