Cost Benefit Analysis of reliability models of non-identical Units with priority for operation and repair

This paper deals with the cost-benefit analysis of a system of two reliability models with non-identical units ? one is priority unit which gets priority in operation as well as in repair over the other ordinary unit There is a single server who takes time to arrive at the system. The failure and repair times of each unit are independent and uncorrelated random variables. The failure time distributions of each unit are taken to be negative exponential with different parameters while all repair and arrival time distributions are general with different probability density function (pdf). Several reliability characteristics of interests are obtained by using regenerative-point technique The behaviour of mean time to system failure (MTSF), steady state availability and profit function are studied through graphs when all distributions are taken as exponential
