Mappings and Spaces revisited
by
Dennis Burke
Miami University

The paper ``Mappings and Spaces'' [Russian Math. Surveys, July 1966] by A.V. Arhangel'skii was a very useful source of current topics and problems in set-theoretic topology. Many students received much of their education by reading this survey paper. We take a look back at some of these topics and see how the related areas have developed. We review some of the questions and discuss some related open problems which have their roots in this paper.
