On the cross topology of the plane and related topologies on Minkowski space-time

We talk about the cross topology of the plane and related topologies on Minkowski space-time. We present in some detail a few results of Zeeman (from the 1960's) explaining why one of these topologies is of interest in physics. We also compare three different proofs that the cross topology of the plane is not regular.
