Coproducts of Abelian Topological Groups

The talk describes and discusses the relations between various topological group topologies on the weak or restricted direct sum of a family of abelian topological groups. The topologies include the topology of the coproduct in the category of abelian topological groups, the topology of Kaplan, and the topologies of Higgins.
