Tree Forcing at Uncountable Cardinals

Superperfect forcing, originally due to A. Miller, is lifted to partial orders over regular uncountable cardinals, with extra information available when the cardinal is measurable. A general theory of tree forcings over uncountable cardinals, under the rubric of splitting ideals, is also discussed.
