The work of Murray Bell

Murray Bell was a great friend to the Spring Topology Conference and its participants. Murray's untimely death December 8, 2001 was a terrible shock and loss. Many, many of us will feel a pang of regret each year at this conference, and others, when we realize we will not find Murray's abstract and title in the conference program. I thank the organizers for this opportunity to have Murray Bell's mathematics included in the Spring Topology Conference program in 2002.
