Classes of preconditioners have been proposed by many researchers to improve on the convergence rates of the classical iterative schemes for the solution of nonsingular as well as singular linear systems of algebraic equations. However, both the preconditioners and the iterative methods have been considered in their point form. Interesting new results can be derived when one applies the previous ideas and considers the preconditioners and the iterative methods in block forms. Some of these results are presented in this article.
