Estimation of Population Variance Using Stratified Sampling

In this paper an estimator of population under stratified sampling has been proposed and allocation problems have been discussed. It is seen that under optimum allocation be proposed estimator is more efficient than the usual estimator considered in simple random sampling. Atlost numerical illustrations have been cited.
