Let C be a curve of genus two defined over a field of characteristic zero, W a Weierstrass point of C, and J the Jacobian of C. We will discuss contraints on the torsion points of J which lie on the image of C embedded into J using W as base point. Relations to an analogous problem for genus one curves will be discussed.
