The Pseudocompact-Open Topology on C(X)

S. Kundu and Pratibha Garg

This paper studies the pseudocompact-open topology on the set of all real-valued continuous functions on a Tychonoff space and compares this topology with the compact-open topology and the topology of uniform convergence. In the second half, the induced map, as well as the metrizability of this topology, is studied.

Keywords: function space, induced map, metacompact, para-Lindelöf, p-isocompact, pseudocompact, separability, submetrizability
