We show that regular images of regular monotonic p-spaces under tri-quotient maps with sieve-complete fibres are of pointwise countable type, and are first countable if the domain has also a base of countable order. It is also shown that such maps are always countable-compact-covering. None of the above remains true if one replaces ``tri-quotient'' by ``bi-quotient.''
